Fresh off their banging thematic single collab “Kooperstown”, Kindred Spirits is the debut project from prolific Buffalo, NY emcee Cav Johnson and Dallas-based producer The Kid Flames.

Blending a dark, soulful vibe with the dusty boom-bap both are known for, the 7-track project finds the duo digging deep and exploring life’s trials and purpose on the desolate banger “Never Seen A Comma”, while making sure hope stays prevalent on the cuts “Items in the Fridge” and “Sometimes”.

Never two to shy away from a display of swag and unapologetic confidence, they step up to bring the energy on the smooth “Bounce Magic”, “Pen on Tesla” and “King of New York” (feat. DJ Ernie G) – while “Soldiers” is a hungry, verbal onslaught and industry call-to-arms, reminding would-be doubters that they’re the first on the frontlines of the war on perpetrators.

One thing’s for certain, this most definitely isn’t the last we’ve heard from the duo. Music from each is currently streaming across all digital platforms!
